Why we do the annual Christian Youth Summit:

Mission:
Equip Christian young adults in a solid biblical worldview and empower them to be leaders in transforming our culture for Christ.

Theme: Standing Firm

Target audience:
Christian young adults ranging from high school through college age. (Adults & mature middle schoolers welcome)

Motivation:
•    We are losing our youth to secularism at a higher rate than ever before in our nation’s history. Barna research has found that only 5% of Christian teenagers have a Biblical worldview.
•    The Council on Family Life did a study revealing that 88% of children raised in evangelical homes leave church at the age of 18 and do not return.
•    The next generation has been so influenced by post-modernism, which has progressively been woven into the fabric of our society, that they often cannot even decipher between a secular and Biblical worldview.

What we believe:

Prepare the Way desires to be a unifying presence within the body of Christ while not compromising Truth. Unity on the essentials. Grace on the non-essentials.

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that no one comes to the Father but through Him and that He embodies absolute, unchanging Truth.

We believe that anyone who asks, and keeps on asking, seeks, and keeps on seeking, knocks, and keeps on knocking, will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord, by receiving the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that every disciple of Jesus should be equipped in a biblical worldview which is basically revealed in 8 simple yes or no questions (Adapted from Barna Research):
1. Do absolute moral truths exist?
2. Is absolute truth defined by the Bible?
3. Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?
4. Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today?
5. Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
6. Is Satan real?
7. Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in Christ with other people?
8. Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings?

Generally, every true Christian will answer yes to each of these and reveals a basic Christian or biblical worldview.
